ROTHSCHILD – Aspirus Health Foundation seeks decorators and donations for its annual Festival of Trees, which will be held Nov. 27 through Dec. 1.
The event, a fundraiser for Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, features holiday-themed, family friendly festivities and entertainment.
Organizers of the event, to be held at Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center in Rothschild, are looking for people who like to decorate or design holiday trees, wreaths, centerpieces, mini-trees and other unique items.
Businesses, organizations and individuals or teams can decorate an item of their choice for the week-long silent auction. Festival visitors are then invited to bid on the items Nov. 27 – Dec. 1 and the highest bidder by the end of the event will “win” the tree/item to take home.
“Some people decorate a tree in memory of a loved one, and some businesses make decorating a fun way for groups of employees to give back to their community,” said Kim Smerda, fund development specialist at the Aspirus Health Foundation, in a news release. “The only cost is the decorations, which can be as fancy and costly or as simple and economical as the decorators’ desire. We provide a pre-lit tree and you just provide the awesome decorations and decorate the tree.”
