WAUSAU – The Lumberjacks were unable to slow down the Evergreens’ dynamic duo of Tamirat Knutson and Diego Sanchez as DCE moved to .500 in conference play.

Knutson recorded yet another hat trick and Sanchez assisted on all three goals.

The Evergreens wasted no time jumping out to a lead when Knutson tucked home a shot off a pass from Sanchez at 4:17 of the opening half.

Knutson would tally his second of the night off another Sanchez feed to put DCE up 2-0 midway through the second half.

Lisandro Ortiz would get the Lumberjacks on the scoreboard less than eight minutes later to trim the deficit to 2-1.

However, none other than Knutson would find the back of the net against with less than a minute left in regulation to complete the hat trick and seal the win.

East keeper Connor Smith kept things interesting with eight saves. Matt Schafer stopped four shots in goal for DCE.
