A Tomorrow River School District student accused of threatening students and staff at the district is facing criminal charges in Portage County, sheriff’s officials said Wednesday.

Investigators learned of the alleged threat at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, when a student overheard the juvenile suspect making threatening statements, according to a news release.

The suspect, whose name and age were not released, was identified and is currently in custody. The student, who was not at school on Wednesday, is being referred on juvenile charges of making a terroristic threat.
