As crews were in the midst of battling a fire at a nearby tavern, a second fire broke out just blocks away Sunday at the Grand Lodge Hotel and Waterpark, 805 Creske Ave., Rothschild.
Grand Lodge employees report visible smoke and a loss of power to about half of the hotel. The report was called in just before 11 a.m.
About 15 minutes earlier, crews from several departments were dispatched to The Bar, 10302 Market St., Rothschild. Initial scanner reports suggest the fire at The Bar could be electrical in nature and possibly related to a light fixture on the north side of the building.
Patrons were immediately evacuated from The Bar. Crews from Kronenwetter, SAFER, and Riverside are responding to the reports and Wisconsin Public Service has been called to the hotel to assist.
There are no reports of injuries at this time at either location.
