The following major incidents were reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department for the week ending Oct. 6, 2019:

  • A 37-year-old Chicago, man was injured Monday afternoon after a UTV rollover in the Town of Harrison. The victim was a passenger on the machine when the driver crested a hill and tried to slow down but caused the machine to slide, leave the trail, and roll. The injured man was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart with non-life threatening injuries.
  • A 49-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Friday evening on a drug charge after a traffic stop in the Town of Bradley. A Trooper from the Wisconsin State Patrol stopped the vehicle and requested the K9 Poncho come to the scene. Poncho alerted to the odor of illegal drugs in the vehicle. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found. The driver was arrested on drug charges and cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
  • Nine deer crashes were reported last week.
