Police have identified the woman killed in an Oct. 3 shooting spree at a Wausau cemetery as 52-year-old Patricia Grimm, of Wausau.

The 60-year-old Wausau man who remains in critical condition has been identified as William Buhse. A 70-year-old woman, identified as Rosemelia Short, was also shot and has since been released from the hospital, according to a Wausau Police Department news release.

Grimm was the manager of Pine Grove Cemetery, where the shootings took place. Buhse is also an employee, police said, while Short is related to an employee at the cemetery.

Police in Wausau are continuing their follow-up investigation into the shooting and say they have made significant progress in the case. The suspect, 64-year-old Henry V. West is expected to make an initial appearance Friday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. in Marathon County Circuit Court. Police are recommending charges of first degree intentional homicide and two counts of attempted first degree intentional homicide be charged against West, who is being held on $1 million cash bail.

“Our thoughts, prayers, and continued dedication on this case will be for the victims and others impacted,” said Wausau Police Capt. Ben Graham, in a news release.
