WAUSAU — A Wisconsin Education Fair for area high school students, parents and prospective adult students will be held in the fieldhouse at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Wausau from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 10 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Oct. 11.

Representatives of universities, colleges, technical and vocational colleges, trade schools and the military will be present to talk about a variety of educational opportunities.

No formal presentations will be held. Students and parents will be able to move around the fieldhouse, spending as much time as they wish with the individual representatives. In addition, financial aid counselors will be present to answer questions about financial assistance that is available to students as they seek education and training beyond high school.

In addition to the education fair, students and the public are invited to attend Food Truck Friday on Oct. 11 in Lot G off of Seventh Avenue across from the university’s main entrance. Area vendors will be on hand with a variety of food options. Food Truck Friday is free to attend and open to the public.

The fieldhouse is on the corner of Seventh and Garfield avenues in Wausau. For more information, contact Brian Kalish, UW Stevens Point at Wausau student life and events coordinator, at 715-261-6228.
