WAUSAU — The second annual 0.1K Run to benefit Bundles of Joy has moved to the former JC Penney store at the Wausau Center on Oct. 12 because of inclement weather. Registration begins at 10 a.m.; racing begins at 11 a.m.; awards aare presented at noon. The event includes activities for kids, a costume race, a rewind race and a slo-mo race.
The first 70 adult runners to register will receive a free T-shirt. Register online at www.unitedwaymc.org. If you aren’t able to run, plan to attend and watch the fun.
All proceeds from this event will be used to buy diapers for families in crisis in our community. Last year, Bundles of Joy distributed 26,000 diapers to area families through local agencies.
