One person is dead and six people are injured following a two-vehicle crash Thursday on Hwy. 45, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. near Lakeshore Road in the town of Larrabee.
Police say a 72-year-old Clintonville man was stopped at Neitzke Road, then drove onto Hwy. 45 into the path of a northbound van with six people inside. The Clintonville man died at the scene, police said.
All six people inside the van were transported to a Wausau-area hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries is not clear at this time.
No names have been released.
