Oshkosh police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman who were discovered dead early Friday, according to WBAY-TV.

Officials say a 46-year-old Oshkosh woman and a 55-year-old Appleton man died of apparent gunshot wounds. No names were released.

Police responded at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 to a home in the 200 block of East Tennessee Avenue for a report of gunshots fired in the area. SWAT and crisis negotiation teams were dispatched to the home, where they discovered the man and woman dead inside.

Police say the two knew each other and that it appears to be an isolated incident.
