Prep roundup: Everest boys soccer ties SPASH

WESTON– The Everest boys soccer team answered two goals by SPASH with two goals of their own to earn a 2-2 tie.

Everest’s goals came from Ben Halambeck and John Belton.  Both Evergreen goals were late in the second half.

SPASH out-shot Everest 13-6.  Matt Schafer recorded 11 saves for Everest, while Spencer Banks had four saves for SPASH.

Volleyball

Marshfield 3, Everest 0

The Marshfield Tigers claimed a clean sweep over the Evergreens.

Everest gave Marshfield a run in the first set, which ended 25-23 in the Tigers’ favor.

Marshfield ran away with the final two sets 25-19, 25-12.

Kiara Hammond had six kills for Everest, while Abby Duffrin had 14 digs.  McKenna Berdal had 11 digs, as did Hammond.

Merrill 3, Wausau East 1

Merrill came up with a win in four sets over the Lumberjacks.  Set scores were 25-19, 20-25, 23-25, 15-25.

Gabby Braatz paced the Lumberjacks with 15 assists and three aces.

Taylor Pagel had another big game with 13 kills and 16 digs.

Grace Stimac and Savannah Spees each had four blocks.

Wausau West 3, Wisconsin Rapids 1

The Warriors claimed yet another victory on Thursday, defeating Rapids 3-1.

Robyn Kirsch had a big night with 29 kills to lead the Warriors.  Kiley Deaton added 11 kills.

Grace Michalske had 41 assists and 15 digs.

Deaton led the team with 29 digs.
