MOSINEE — The Transportation Security Administration will open a temporary TSA Pre?
enrollment center at Central Wisconsin Airport from Oct. 21 through Oct. 25.

The application center will be at the ticket counter. Applicants do not need to be flying to access the center. Although walk-ins will be accepted, TSA and the airport recommend that people preenroll online and make an appointment at www.fly-cwa.org.

Appointment hours will be Monday – Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. and again from noon to 4 p.m. Walk-ins will be taken on first come, first served basis after those who have an appointment.

TSA Pre? is an expedited screening program that allows members to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt in designated screening lanes. Members also may keep their laptop in its case and 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels baggies in a carry-on bag.

The application fee is $85, which covers a five-year membership. The fee must be paid at the application center by credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Enrollees will need to bring documentation proving identity and citizenship or legal residency status. Documentation requirements are listed on the DHS trusted traveler comparison tool site. Fingerprints are collected to complete a background check.

Successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number, which they can access online in about one week. Passengers should enter the KTN when booking airline reservations online via a participating airline website, via phone call to the airline reservation center, or with the travel management company making reservations.
