Jane Lynett
Jane Elizabeth (Kommers) Lynett, 98, of Dearborn died on Oct. 4, 2019.
Jane was born on June 17, 1921, in Antigo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Anna (Krier) and Alphonse Kommers. Jane worked as a medical records assistant for Wausau Insurance Company and enjoyed playing golf, bridge, swimming and involvement in her Catholic faith. Through most of her life, she was a member of St. James/Church of the Resurrection in Wausau, Wisconsin, and more recently St. Clement church in Dearborn, Michigan. After living in Wisconsin for 90 years, she moved to Dearborn, Michigan, in 2011. Jane loved the arts and supported the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau and frequently attended musical performances, including the Wausau and Detroit symphony orchestras.
Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert Francis (Bud) Lynett. Loving mother of Michael (Jeanne) Kommers Lynett, Patricia Ann (James Hanson) Lynett, and Peter Krier (Carolyn) Lynett. Proud grandmother of Robert (Laura) Lynett, Anna (Cameron) Lynett Moss, Michael Lynett, Gordon (Julia) Lynett, and Kathryn (Tony Brown) Lynett and great-grandmother to Elaine Lynett and Julian Lynett.
Preceded in death were sisters Nancy Beattie, Helen Gorman, and brothers Robert Kommers and William Kommers.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at the Henry Ford Chapel in Dearborn on Oct. 12.
A Mass with Jane’s special intention will be celebrated at 12:10 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 621 North Second St. in Wausau on Nov. 13. A visitation will be held at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau, from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on that day, with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, Wisconsin, at 10 a.m. on Nov. 14.

Joyce Richmond
Joyce Elaine (Zunker) Richmond went to eternal rest on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at the age of 88. She was born to August and Elise Zunker on March 26, 1931. She married the love of her life, Howard Richmond, on Oct. 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1999.
Joyce was a member of Grace United Church of Christ. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Willing Workers ladies group. Joyce and Howard were also custodians at the church for 19 years.
Joyce had a strong work ethic. Being the oldest child, she was her dad’s “right-hand-man” working on the family farm. As a young woman she worked in food services at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was employed at Marathon Electric for 21 years, retiring in 1996. In retirement she worked part time at Windows Accessories until she was 80 years old.
She loved watching and feeding the birds and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Everyone loved her canned dill pickles. She had a very kind, giving heart. She was always there for whomever needed a helping hand. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and many other craft projects. Anyone who knew her, probably has one of the blankets that she made for them. She also loved doing paint-by-number pictures and collecting angel figurines.
Joyce is survived by her three children: Gail (Tom) Schmidt, Mark (Cindy) Richmond, and Robbyn (fiancé Mark Baumgardt) Richmond; grandchildren: Jennifer Schmidt, Bradley (Katie) Schmidt, Jason (Teri) Richmond, Matthew (Alicia) Richmond, Amanda (Joe) King, Mallory (Matthew) Gutowski; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Jordyn, and Natalie Richmond, Lily King, and Michael and Shania Lynn Gutowski; One brother, Raymond (Doris) Zunker; and three sisters, Caroline Wokatsch, Eldora Raddatz, and Kate (Ron) Schultz. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Doralene Zunker; brother-in-law, David (Marjorie) Raddatz; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother Roger Zunker; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford (Avila) Richmond, Lucille (Art) Lavake, Inez (Ted) Green, IlaBell (Gordon) Klatt, Ruth (Eldon) Burns, Roger (Pearl) Richmond, Irene (Alvin) Dallman and Dorothy (Lloyd) Boushley.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at Grace United Church of Christ, 535 South Third Ave., Wausau. Pastor Julie Goranson will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Allen Geier
Allen Jay Geier passed away on Oct. 13, 2019, at his home in Mosinee, Wisconsin. Allen was born to Grace and Walter Geier on Oct. 21, 1940. He graduated from Wausau High and later earned an associate degree from the Tool and Die Institute of Chicago.
He spent many years owning and operating his tool and die business. He retired from Fiskars in 2001. When he wasn’t working, Allen enjoyed the great outdoors. Deer hunting was a favorite time of year for him. He also loved trying to catch muskies and taking his grandkids out in the boat. Family was everything to Allen. His large extended family filled him with great pride.
He loved his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and all the many friends who were like family to him.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sheila (Weiland). His is also survived by four children: Cassandra (Greg) Zipp, Lisa (Tim) Doyle, Jason Geier, and Jeremy (Loralee) Geier.
Allen leaves behind 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Allen did not want a traditional funeral. Therefore a private burial service will be held for the immediate family.
There will be Celebration of Life at Trail’s End Lodge on Oct. 26 at 3:30 pm. Come to celebrate Allen’s life! We are hoping to hear lots of stories to honor his life and memory.
In lieu of flowers, Allen asked that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. His spirit will always be with us.
He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of family. Allen taught all of us how to enjoy life and to care for one another. He was always there for anyone who needed him.
He will live on in our hearts. Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family at this time.

David and Dorothy Ashenbrenner
David and Dorothy Ashenbrenner, ages 73 and 78, of Galloway, died as a result of an automobile accident.
David was born on the farm in the town of Morris on Feb. 18, 1946, the son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Salzman) Ashenbrenner. Dorothy was born in Wisconsin Rapids on Aug. 25, 1941, the daughter of the late John and Cecilia (Dashnier) Malolepsy.
Dave and Dorothy met and fell in love at the University of Stevens Point where they both graduated with bachelor’s degrees in teaching. They were married at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids on July 13, 1968.
The couple taught school for many years. Upon moving to Galloway, Dave continued to teach in Polonia and Mosinee while Dorothy cared for their three children, Dawn, William and Carl. Dorothy later worked during tax time for H & R Block for over 25 years. Dave was a farmer at heart and worked various jobs, including truck driving and school bus routes. His most honored was becoming a Deacon. The coupled loved the Green Bay Packers and were honored to be a shareholder. Dave pitched on many local softball teams over the years. Dave and Dorothy were very involved in the community always taking part in organizing and working Galloway Days and the Wittenberg Birnamwood All School Reunion. They enjoyed their farm, gardening and making maple syrup.
Dave and Dorothy were very active and faithful members of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Galloway. The couple took on several roles throughout the years. Dave was honored of his role as Deacon and Dorothy loved her role as commissioned minister. The couple also sang in the choir and taught religious education as well as confirmation. Dorothy played the organ and was the church secretary and cemetery sexton for several years. Dave and Dorothy loved their children and were very family orientated. They enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and attending their events.
The couple is survived by three children, Dawn (Saleem Surti) Ashenbrenner of Weston, William (Vicki) Ashenbrenner of Madison and Carl (Brecken) Ashenbrenner of Brookfield; five grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph, Max, Ledra and Aliya; Dave’s siblings, Jeanette Konkol of Maribel, Ronald (Joanne) Ashenbrenner of Wittenberg, Shirley Marshek of Maribel, Leon ‘Tony’ (Virginia) Ashenbrenner of Tigerton and Julane (Elroy) Matz of Pickeral; Dorothy’s siblings, Sister Michel Malolepsy and Sister Helen Malolepsy both of Oshkosh, Jane Gerend of Marshfield and John Malolepsy of Albuquerque, New Mexico and sister-in-law Doris Ashenbrenner of Wittenberg. The couple is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The couple was preceded in death by their parents and Dave’s brothers, Gerald Ashenbrenner and two in infancy, Wayne and Arlen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Reverend Augustine Bentil will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service being held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
