Marathon County Public Library programs, beginning Oct. 28

Teens and adults can learn about practices such as palm reading, tarot and dream interpretation, and share their thoughts and beliefs, during a community social hour on Oct. 28 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee. Free. For more info, call 715-693-2144.

The Marathon County Public Library will screen the 2019 documentary film about the “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” books on Oct. 29 from 6:30-8 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. The film explores how the books influenced an entire generation of readers and how the books were constantly challenged by censors. Free. Rated PG-13.
