Police have identified the pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Oneida County as 65-year-old Larry Badgley, of the town of Schoepke.
The crash was reported at about 7:30 a.m. Oct. 29 on CTH B near Meister Stockley Road. The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old girl, called 911 to report her vehicle slid off the road and struck a tree. But a second 911 caller reported that the car had also struck a male pedestrian, the release said.
Badgley died at the scene due to injuries sustained on impact, police said. Oneida County Capt. Tyler young said Badgley was walking down his driveway when he was struck by the vehicle in a crash that appears to be weather-related.
The teen driver was transported by ambulance to Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. The severity of her injuries has not been specified.
The crash remains under investigation.
