Drug trafficking, a high-voltage rescue situation and a fire in the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department weekly wrap up for the week ending Nov. 4, 2019.

  • Lincoln County Deputies assisted the Wisconsin State Patrol Monday morning at a traffic stop in the Town of Pine River.  The driver, a 27-year-old Wausau man, was taken into custody on multiple felony charges to include: possession with intent to deliver narcotic drugs, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession with intent to deliver designer drugs, possession with intent to deliver scheduled IV drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture or produce methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.
  • Firefighters from Tomahawk along with a deputy rescued a man from a high voltage situation on Monday when his skid-steer became tangled in a power line. The man was helping to remove the remnants of a cabin when a small section of wall which contained an active power line fell on the front of the unit. The incident occurred on Birdie Lane in the Town of Bradley.
  • A 26-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Tuesday morning and a 20-year-old Tomahawk man was cited after deputies investigated an underage drinking complaint at a Town of Bradley establishment. The 20 year old was cited for underage drinking and the 26 year old was charged with bail jumping and violating the terms of his probation.
  • Fire caused extensive damage to a seasonal cabin Tuesday morning in the Town of King Tuesday morning. The owners of the cabin are from Marshfield; they told an investigating deputy that they had winterized the cabin and left a few weeks prior.
  • A 29-year-old Merrill man was arrested Thursday morning after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle in the Town of Scott just after 8 a.m. The man was cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested for violating the terms of his probation.
  • A 40-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Thursday morning on a warrant charge. Deputies took the man into custody after a warrant was issued for violating the terms of his probation.
  • A 44-year-old Irma man was arrested early Saturday morning on a disorderly conduct charge. Deputies went to a home after a report was received around 1 a.m. of a disturbance.
  • A 27-year-old Tomahawk woman was arrested Saturday evening on a warrant charge. A deputy stopped a vehicle on South Gate Drive in the City of Tomahawk and a check showed the passenger was wanted for failing to pay fines in Lincoln County Court.
  • The number of deer collisions remains high with 14 reported this past week.
