One person is dead in an overnight rollover crash in the Lincoln County town of Corning, according to a news release.

The crash, on Hwy. 64 near Elm Grove Road, was reported by a 911 caller at 3:12 a.m.. The witness, who was traveling in a separate vehicle, reported that the victim swerved to miss a deer, left the roadway and rolled over.

Corning firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the victim from the vehicle, he was pronounced dead on the scene by Lincoln County Coroner Paul. C. Proulx.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The name of the victim, a 50-year-old Merrill man, is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
