UPDATE: Police say a man who abducted his former girlfriend at gunpoint Tuesday in Green Bay shot the woman before being fatally shot by police.
Luis Cardona was shot by a Kewaunee County deputy after police located him using a drone, officials said.
Cardona’s estranged girlfriend, Babbette Carabello, was transported to a local hospital. Her current condition was not immediately released.

UPDATE: A statewide crime alert for a man suspected of abducting a woman at gunpoint in Green Bay has been canceled.
Officials say Luis Angel Cardona, Babbette Carabello and the vehicle described in the alert have been located.
No additional information was immediately released.

A statewide crime alert has been issued after a woman was allegedly abducted at gunpoint from a Green Bay business early Tuesday.
Police are searching for Luis Angel Cardona, 38, who is suspected of abducting his estranged girlfriend, Babette Carabello, from her place of employment at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Cardona was last seen leaving with Caraballo from 930 Goddard Way, Green Bay, in a black SUV. The license plate on the vehicle has yet to be determined and police have not yet determined whether the vehicle is a rental car.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6’3?, weighing about 234 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
According to the alert from the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network, Cardona previously abducted Caraballo a month ago, also from her place of employment. In that incident, police say Cardona was captured after taking Caraballo to his own place of employment. He was jailed, but was later released on bond.
Then on Nov. 11, Cardona showed up at his estranged girlfriend’s home and tried to persuade her to come with him, but she refused. No weapons was shown at that time, police said. In both prior incidents Cardona was driving a Green GMC pickup truck with WI license NY8768. Police believe a different vehicle was used this morning.
