One person is dead and a second person is injured after a milk truck and tractor collided Monday in the Marathon County town of Green Valley, near Knowlton.
The crash was reported at about 7:45 p.m. on Hwy. C and Smoky Hill Road.
Crews from Stratford, Mosinee and Marshfield were called to the scene, where the tractor involved in the crash had caught fire.
A medical helicopter was initially summoned but was called off a short time later.
Two people were transported to an area hospital for treatment, where one person later died, according to authorities.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation. Names have not yet been released.
