Crews responded Wednesday to a crash on the city’s northeast side, with several rescue vehicles at the scene.
Rescue workers were initially paged at about 5:25 p.m. to the area of Hwy. K and North 20th Avenue in Wausau for a report of a two-vehicle crash with fuel leakage on the roadway.
Witnesses tell Wausau Pilot and Review the vehicles were badly damaged with airbags deployed. Several rescue vehicles responded to the scene.
There’s no word yet on injuries.
