A 59-year-old Mosinee woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash Thursday in Fremont, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash was reported at about 9:15 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of eastbound Hwy. 10 at Old 49 Road.
Police say a car pulling out from the stop sign on Old 49 Road was struck by an eastbound van on Hwy. 10. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene by a Waupaca County medical examiner. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
The driver of the van, a 43-year-old Green Bay man, was not injured. His passenger, a 30-year-old Green Bay man, also escaped injury.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with traffic crash reconstruction.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
