WAUSAU —A turkey drive at both Wausau East and Wausau West high schools recently rounded up more than $6,000 that will feed more than 500 families in the Wausau area. The program, organized by the Wausau FFA, will give out 450 turkeys and 120 hams to people at the two high schools, Horace Mann and John Muir middle schools, the PEER program, the alternative high school, D.C. Everest, The Salvation Army, The Neighbors’ Place, Elks Club, Covenant Community Church, The Women’s Community and Professional Service Group.
