MOSINEE — Ascension Wisconsin Spirit Medical Transport will build a state-of-the-art air medical hanger at Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee that will be fully operational in August of 2020, Ascension announced this week.
Construction of the nearly 75,000-square-foot hangar will begin in November. The hanger will accommodate two medical helicopters, a fixed wing, King Air-sized aircraft, office space and crew quarters.
Spirit’s air medical transportation services will be housed at the airport’s Fixed Base Operator – Central Wisconsin Aviation – and the Mosinee Business Park until the new hanger is built on the airport’s grounds.
