WAUSAU — On Nov. 28, First Presbyterian Church of Wausau will host the 50th annual Friends Dinner. This free, traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served at 1 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall, 406 Grant St., Wausau. Additionally, hundreds of pre-ordered meals will be delivered to residents of Wausau and Rib Mountain beginning at 11 a.m.

Reservations have been taken, maps have been charted, helpers scheduled, food prepared, tables set – all in an effort to provide a hot, traditional meal to community neighbors who may not otherwise have access to a Thanksgiving Dinner or who may be spending the holiday alone.

Guests who attend this year’s dinner will be able to share memories of the late Joan Kuhl, a longtime Friends Dinner volunteer and coordinator who died in April.
