A 4-year-old boy is dead following a two-vehicle crash Saturday on a snow-covered highway in Langlade County, officials said.

The crash was reported just after 11 a.m. Saturday on Hwy. 45, just south of CTH G in the Langlade County town of Rolling.

The boy died at the scene of the crash. A 6-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries, police said.

Police say the drivers of both vehicles involved were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two additional passengers in one of the vehicles,  a 5-year-old child and a 10-year-old child, suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

A 29-year-old Antigo man and a 1-year-old girl were also treated at the scene, police said.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
