STEVENS POINT — The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra and Smith Scarabocchio Art Museum have announced the final Scarabocchio Jazz Listening Session this year.

Tim Buchholz and friends will perform “Jazz Christmas” at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Scarabocchio Art Museum, 800 Main St. in Stevens Point.

Buchholz, a Stevens Point native, studied vocal jazz at Western Michigan University, went on to receive his Masters in jazz at California State University, and completed his DMA at the University of Miami, all the while teaching lessons and leading vocal jazz ensembles. Today he resides close to home in Wausau, where he teaches at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau.

Buchholz has performed with many notable jazz artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Darmon Meader, Tierney Sutton and Patty Austin.

Admission for the Listening Sessions is a suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for students with an ID. Refreshments will be provided.
