A group of three children discovered human remains Saturday in a wooded area in West Allis, according to police.
The remains, which are in a state of “advanced decomposition, were discovered just after 9 a.m. Dec. 7 near 74th Street and Oklahoma Avenue.
An investigation is underway to identify the remains.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
