WAUSAU — “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” opens in theaters this weekend. It’s the last film in the Star Wars saga, or at least the last in the nine-episode series originally conceived by George Lucas. At 10 a.m. today, Dec. 19, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Rob Mentzer welcomes Iola writer John Jackson Miller to “Route 51” to discuss the film and his work in the Star Wars universe.  

As a New York Times bestselling author, Miller writes for both the Star Wars and the Star Trek universes. His books include Star Wars: A New Dawn, Star Wars: Kenobi,” the Star Trek: Prey trilogy and his latest novelStar Trek: Discovery – The Enterprise War. Mentzer and Miller will talk about the upcoming film and his science fiction résumé, plus his work in comics and graphic novels for Marvel, Dynamite and Dark Horse Comics.
