Peyton’s Promise advocates, local businesses and volunteers have been busy stocking the shelves of local food pantries. For November and December, AbbyBank pledged to match a total of $2,000 in donations to Peyton’s Promise. AbbyBank presented a check with a grand total of $9,808.00 for the total money raised with the AbbyBank matching meals program and the Elves Stocking the Shelves event. This program helped them purchase over 130 meals for those in need this holiday season.

“Gratitude does not even begin to describe how our family feels,” said Teena Medick, Peyton’s Promise executive director. “One amazing community and several compassionate businesses, like AbbyBank and countless others, have joined in the fight against hunger and believed in an 8-year-old’s spirit and idea to make the world a better place.”

Peyton’s Promise assists 44 organizations fighting hunger and continues to help open school and community pantries each year.
