An updated forecast by the National Weather Service in Green Bay shows a winter weather advisory in effect for Marathon County from noon until 6 p.m. Saturday as a wintry mix develops in the region.

A mix of rain and snow Saturday afternoon is expected to change over to all rain in the evening. Though air temperatures may be a few degrees above freezing, the cold ground could still cause roads to be icy in spots.

Expect mixed precipitation with total snow accumulations of up to one inch along with a light glaze of ice, according to the National Weather Service in Green Bay.

Slippery road conditions are expected.
