Several crashes are being reported throughout the greater Marathon County areaa as heavy snow moves through the region.

The most recent incident was reported at about 4:12 p.m. on Hwy. 34 near Mosinee. Rescue crews from Mosinee and Knowlton were paged to an area west of CTH DB in the north ditch for a report of a vehicle with a woman inside.

The driver was not injured.

As of 4:10 p.m. the left northbound lane of Hwy. 51 near Bridge Street is reduced to a single lane following a two-vehicle crash on the snow-covered highway.

The crash was called in at around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Airbags were deployed in the crash, but both drivers escaped serious injury, according to preliminary scanner information.

There’s no word yet on when the lane will reopen.

Near Stevens Point, a crash is blocking the right northbound lane just beyond CTH B, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. There’s no word on the severity of that crash or how long the lane closure is expected.
