An Eagle River home is a total loss following an overnight blaze, according to the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department.
No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported by a 911 caller just before 1 a.m. Tuesday on Everett Road in the town of Washington.
The home was engulfed in flames by the time deputies arrived. Police have not said if anyone was inside the home when the blaze broke out.
Several fire departments fought the blaze in difficult weather conditions.
Sheriff’s officials say the fire is under investigation. Additional information is expected in a planned news release.
