The Wausau Nordic Club will offer free adult cross-country ski lessons and equipment rental on Jan. 14 and Jan. 19 at Nine Mile Forest and Chalet at 8704 Redbud Road in Rib Mountain.
This is a class for beginners and those looking to learn new techniques. The classes will be held as follows:
- Jan. 14: Equipment checkout at 6:30 p.m.; on snow instruction from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Jan. 19: Equipment checkout at 3:30 p.m.; on snow instruction from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A cookies and hot beverage social will be held after the classes. No reservations needed. Rain dates are Jan. 21 and Feb. 2.
