NEW RICHMOND– The Wausau West boys hockey team pitched a shutout against New Richmond on Tuesday, winning 4-0.
All four of West’s goals came in the second period.
Carson Marquardt led the Warriors’ attack with two goals and one assist. Also scoring goals for West were Lucas Langlois and Jacob Cebula.
Langlois also picked up an assist.
Wausau East 81, Rhinelander 54
RHINELANDER– The Lumberjacks got 30 points from Gabe Krueger to fight to a lopsided victory over the Hodags.
Joining Krueger in double figures were Ben Cayley with 12 points, Noah Stroming with 13 points and Jake Thome with 10.
East jumped out to a 20 point advantage in the first half and never looked back.
The Lumberjacks are now 7-4 overall and will take on Marshfield Jan. 10.
D.C. Everest 42, Rhinelander 56
WESTON– The Evergreens fell to 2-9 on the year with a non-conference loss to the Hodags.
Everest will resume play against SPASH on Jan. 10.

STEVENS POINT– The Lumberjacks suffered a loss to Stevens Point on Tuesday, which dropped their conference record to 1-4.
SPASH improves to 5-0 in the Valley.
East will return to conference action against Wisconsin Rapids on Jan. 16.
