As a thin glaze of ice coated roadways Thursday creating hazardous travel conditions, rescue crews and police responded to a report of a jackknifed semi tractor trailer on Hwy. 29 near Edgar.
The incident was reported at about 11:50 a.m. on Thursday in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 29 at Cardinal Lane. According to the Department of Transportation, the eastbound lanes were closed for about an hour.
Hwy. 29 has since reopened.
