Adults can learn how to access free e-books and audiobooks using their library card and their smartphone or tablet during a free class on Jan. 15 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Rothschild Branch, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild. Free, no registration required. Call 715-359-6208 for more info.


Adults can attend monthly crafting nights throughout the winter and spring starting on Jan. 20 from 3-7 p.m. at the Hatley Branch, 435 Curtis Ave., Hatley. Knitters, crocheters and needle arts enthusiasts of all experience levels are invited to gather to work on their projects and socialize on Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marathon City Branch, 515 Washington St., Marathon City. Adults can learn how to sew with conductive thread and add LEDs to fabrics during a free DIY event on Jan. 22 from 1-1:45 p.m. at the Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. Adults can make a light-up stuffed animal or figure during a free needle arts workshop on Jan. 22 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. JoAnn Janikowski, outreach specialist with the Alzheimer’s Association, will give a free informational presentation on legal and financial issues to plan for when a person is dealing with Alzheimer’s on Jan. 23 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee.
