Drivers for Picking Up Friday Donations. Friday’s from 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. a team of volunteer drivers are needed to pick up Sam’s Club and Walmart donations for The Neighbors’ Place. Ability to drive box truck (no CDL necessary), a background and driving record check and safe driving record is required. Must be over the age of 26. Truck is automatic transmission. Volunteer Ombudsman Opportunities Available! Spend time at local nursing homes visiting with the residents. Act as an advocate for the residents and the “eyes and ears” of the Regional Ombudsman. Training provided by the State of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care. Openings available in Marathon, Taylor, Lincoln and Clark counties. Invest in the Life of a Child. Big Brothers Big Sisters matches you and a child for activities that enrich and encourage. “Bigs” meet with their “Littles” weekly, for activities in a safe/structured environment. Contact Beth at 715-848-7207 or [email protected].

Environmental Education Stewards.  Nature/animal lovers are needed at Monk Botanical Gardens. Training is provided for youth gardening (herbs, vegetables and flowers) and nature walks (birds, butterflies, turtles). Contact Darcie at 715-261-6309 or [email protected].

Water Cooler/Dispenser. The Neighbors’ Place does not have a drinking fountain and would like to provide their guests with access to safe and healthy drinking water. Contact Mallory at 715-845-1966 or [email protected].
