One of three people injured in a December house fire in the town of Merrill has died, according to an online obituary.

The blaze was reported in the early morning hours of Friday, Dec. 20 at a home on Schultz Spur Drive in the town of Merrill. Three people were pulled from the burning building and were transported to University Hospital in Madison.

One of those victims, 48-year-old Carmin Plautz, died Jan. 10.

The condition of the remaining two victims, a 58-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, has not been made public.

Two other occupants inside the home escaped major injury.
