WAUSAU– After a scoreless first period, the Wausau West Warriors tallied three goals in the second and third periods, respectively, to secure a 6-0 win in Wisconsin Valley Conference action on Tuesday.

Marc Sippel led the charge for the Warriors with four goals.

Sippel kicked off the scoring in the second period, followed by goals from Carson Marquardt and Connor Wendell.

Two more Sippel goals followed in the third period.  Rounding out the goal parade for West was Cole Hannes.

D.C. Everest 10, Merrill/East United 0

WAUSAU– The Bluejacks held Everest scoreless in the first period, but the Evergreens knocked home six goals in the second frame to bury the Bluejacks.

Jacob Jakusz recorded a hat trick and Ethan Hurt had 10 saves to lead the Evergreens.

SPASH 65, Wausau East 51

WAUSAU– After seeing a tied game at halftime, the SPASH Panthers pulled ahead of the Lumberjacks to pick up a 65-51 victory on the road.

Abby Thompson paced East with 16 points.  Gabby Braatz added 10 points and Elizabeth Boulanger tickled the nets for nine points.

East’s Wisconsin Valley Conference record falls to 0-5, while SPASH remains atop the conference standings with a 5-0 record.

East travels to Rapids on Friday, while SPASH will host Wausau West.

Marshfield 59, Wausau West 57

WAUSAU– The Warriors got 18 points from Kiley Deaton and 13 from Anna Cunningham, but were unable to defeat the Tigers.

Marshfield moves to 5-1 in the Valley, while West falls to 4-1.
