Two people were injured in a hit-and-run crash involving multiple vehicles in Waupaca County, officials said.

The crash was reported at 3:46 p.m. Friday on Hwy. O south of Brandy Creek Road in the Waupaca County town of Bear Creek.

Police say a northbound pickup crossed the center line and struck a southbound car as well as a southbound SUV.

The driver of the northbound pickup, later identified as a 53-year-old man, fled the scene and was located shortly after the crash.

The driver of the southbound SUV, a 30-year-old woman, was treated and released, while a 66-year-old woman driving the southbound car was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

All three vehicles were badly damaged and were towed from the scene, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department. No names have been released.

Police have not said what, if any, charges will be filed against the driver accused of fleeing the scene.
