A 66-year-old Schofield man is facing felony sexual assault charges after a 13-year-old girl told police he assaulted her while the two were playing an adult-themed card game.

Gene Miskowiak faces felony charges filed Jan. 15 in Marathon County Circuit Court of sexual assault of a child younger than 16. He is free on a $2,000 signature bond.

The alleged victim is not related to Miskowiak.

An investigation began Jan. 7 when police were notified by Child Protective Services about the alleged assault. The alleged victim said she was playing “Cards Against Humanity” with several adults including Miskowiak when he began rubbing her back, then reached into the back of her pants and touched her inappropriately, according to court documents.’

The alleged assaults occurred in November, according to police.

A preliminary hearing for Miskowiak is set for April 10.
