Lemongrass Asian Fusion Restaurant will hold a grand opening Feb. 5 in the former J. Gumbo’s space in downtown Wausau, the company announced on its Facebook page this week.

The new restaurant is owned by Tuan Uong and Hong Duong, who also own Gloss Nail Bar in Rib Mountain. Their partner is Uong’s sister-in-law, Regina Navarro, who runs a similar restaurant in California.

J. Gumbo’s, located in the Third Street Lifestyle Center at 316 Third St., opened in August 2015 and closed April 30. The space underwent a significant renovation in advance of the opening. Photos are posted on the Lemongrass Asian Fusion Facebook page here.

Lemograss, which will serve Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, will be open seven days a week. See the full menu and hours here.
