The Humane Society of Marathon County will host Paws & Protect from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 8 and again on March 7 at Wausau’s Department of Public Works, 400 Myron St., Wausau.

You can give your pet a rabies vaccine for free; implant a microchip for $10; and license your cat or dog for 2020. All animals must be on a leash or in a crate.

This event is open to residents of the city of Wausau, village of Weston, town of Weston and city of Schofield.
