ROTHSCHILD — Bull Falls Harley-Davidson of Wausau will raise money for Special Olympics Wisconsin at its first-ever Chili Challenge for Polar Plunge from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at the dealership, 1570 Highway XX in Rothschild.

At the event, attendees can determine the best local chilimaker by buying Taste Tickets that can be used as votes for the best recipes. Chilimakers will participate by invite only and will either be a local professional or an amateur chef.

“The first-, second-, and third-place winners of the competition will go home with prizes and, more importantly, bragging rights of being the best local chilimaker,” said Pookie Rosa, Bull Falls Harley-Davidson of Wausau marketing and events director.

The Chili Challenge will also include a bake sale, beverage sales and savings on Harley-Davidson licensed products in the store, with a portion of the profits going to Special Olympics Wisconsin’s Bull Falls Harley-Davidson Polar Plunge team. Clinton & Orlow, an acoustic duo, will provide music at the event.

Other money raised at the Chili Challenge will go toward the Polar Plunge team’s goal of $1,000. Several employees and customers will represent the dealership at the Wausau Polar Plunge being held Feb. 21-22 at Sunnyvale Park in Wausau and will be raising money for taking the plunge in the ice cold water.
