A Three Lakes restaurant and tavern was spared Tuesday night after a pole barn behind the main building caught fire and burned to the ground, officials said.

Bonnie’s Lakeside, 1426 Hwy. 22, is up and running on Wednesday. But the adjacent structure, which held snowmobiles, ATVs, boats and flammable liquids is a total loss.

The blaze was reported at about 5 p.m., with crews from five area agencies responding. Some of the liquids inside the building exploded as firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control.

The fire was contained about an hour after the first crews arrived, but the building is a total loss, according to the Three Lakes Fire Department.

No one was injured in the fire, which remains under investigation.
