Wednesday, March 25 from 6-8 p.m., United Way Volunteer Connection and RSVP will present how a VRC helps process large numbers of people wanting to volunteer, in the case of a tornado or other large-scale event. Nami Treasurer. The National Alliance on Mental Illness is looking for someone who has experience in non-profit financials, grant writing and fundraising and is passionate about serving those affected by mental illness. Contact Bernie at 715-432-0180 or [email protected].

Hospital Victim Advocate Volunteer. Accompany or meet a victim at the local emergency department and/or police department to provide support and other information/community resources. Training provided for availability to volunteer a few times a month, usually after 5 p.m. Contact Allie at 715-842-5663 or [email protected]. Age 18+ 

GiGi’s Playhouse Program Leaders and Assistants. Volunteers who have training in occupational, physical, speech-language or behavioral therapy, social work, special education, music, dance, art or a related field are needed for programming. Sample program lesson plans and guides will be provided. Minimum commitment is 1 session (10-12 weeks), with programs occurring weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
