WESTON — Bone & Joint will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 20 to celebrate the opening of their new 3,000 square-foot facility in Weston. This event is open to the public and will be held at 2106 Schofield Avenue.

Bone & Joint expanded its physical therapy services to Weston on February 10. This new location increases the number of Bone & Joint physical therapy centers to three, with one in Plover, Wausau and, now, Weston.

Bone & Joint’s newest center includes a reception and waiting area, along with a private treatment room. The open space holds five treatment tables with privacy curtains, treadmill, stationary bikes, weights, and other types of physical therapy equipment designed to help people get back to active lives.

“Caring for our community’s orthopedic health and wellness is a high priority for our organization,” said Jayson Dykema, Bone & Joint’s Business Development Manager. “We’re very pleased to offer our clients convenient physical therapy care in Weston. Area physicians outside the clinic are welcome to refer patients who need skilled and qualified physical therapy services, as well.”

Bone & Joint’s physical therapists work closely with orthopedic, pain management and sports medicine specialists to provide customized plans for people recovering from surgery, orthopedic, workplace or sport-related injuries.

“The addition of physical therapy services to our service line last year provided continuity,” said Dykema. “Now, we can care for people from diagnosis, through treatment, including surgery at our ambulatory surgery center, and through recovery until they reach their maximum range of motion and movement. It’s rewarding to offer care at this level.”

The Weston expansion is a natural step for Bone & Joint. The independent, provider-owned health care organization moved their corporate office to Schofield in 2019 to make room for its first physical therapy clinic in Rib Mountain.

“The expansion comes just over a year after we opened our first physical therapy center,” said Dykema. “We reached patient capacity quickly, which showed a significant need in our community. The Weston location meets that need and gives us the ability to provide continuous patient care as we help people lead active lives.”

Bone & Joint Physical Therapy in Weston is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 715-393-0479 or visit BoneJoint.net.
