KAUKAUNA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a young girl and boy found dead in a Kaukauna duplex had “intentionally inflected injuries.”

Police found the bodies of 3-year-old Danielle Beyer and 5-year-old William Beyer in the upper level of the duplex around 7 a.m. Monday.

Kaukauna Police Chief Jamie Graff said someone at the home called 911. Graff says the caller told a dispatcher “their children needed help.”

Graff told reporters Tuesday that both children had “intentionally inflicted injuries.”

The Post Crescent reports the chief declined to identify the person who called 911, and he would not talk about possible suspects or motives. But he said no arrests have been made.

Police have spoken to both of the children’s parents, Graff said.

Officials have not said how the children died or provided details of the circumstances.

Graff says the public is not in danger.
