Adults can learn all the ins and outs of Medicare eligibility during a free informative event on March 9 from 1-3 p.m. at the Athens Branch, 221 Caroline St., Athens. Registration required by calling 1-888-486-9545.

Residents of the Edgar area can apply for a U.S. passport locally during a special one-day event on March 16 from 2:30-6:45 p.m. at the Edgar Branch, 224 S. Third Ave., Edgar. Appointments will be taken by calling one of the library’s passport acceptance agents, who can also tell you what to all bring with to your appointment.
