Domestic battery, possession with intent to deliver heroin and other narcotic drugs, resisting an officer, physical abuse to a child and strangulation in Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department log on March 9, 2020.

A 38-year-old female and 52-year-old male were arrested on Friday on charges of domestic battery following a domestic disturbance.

The Lincoln County 911 Center received a 911 reporting a car fire on Highway 8 at Highway A on Friday. A deputy was able to use his fire extinguisher to extinguish the flames.

A 24-year-old Chicago man was stopped for speeding on Friday on Highway 51 north of Merrill. He was cited for 100 mph in a 65 mph zone.

A 30-year-old Rhinelander man was taken into custody Sunday on several drug charges following a report of a wanted person who was supposed to be at a location north of Merrill. Upon locating the individual and taking him into custody K9 Poncho alerted to the odor of drugs in the vehicle the man was sitting in. Along with the Oneida County warrant, the man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possess with intent to deliver Psilocin, possess with intent to deliver amphetamine, possess with intent to deliver heroin, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of THC, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

A 63-year-old Green Bay man reported his storage unit in the town of Bradley had been entered sometime in the past several months. When he went to the storage unit on Saturday he found that his John Deere tractor valued at $9,000 had been stolen from the storage unit. The investigation continues in this matter.

A 43-year-old female from Merrill was arrested on Saturday on charges of physical abuse to a child, strangulation, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer following a report of a domestic situation.
